Like any foreign move, moving to Lithuania is a challenge. In addition, there is the language. The Lithuanian language is a Baltic language within the family of Indo-European languages. There are just under 3.2 million speakers of the Lithuanian language. Lithuanian is the official language of Lithuania and has been one of the official languages of the EU since 1 May 2004. Lithuanian-speaking minorities exist in north-western Belarus and in north-eastern Poland (Podlaskie Voivodeship). In addition, larger groups of Lithuanians in exile live in various countries.
In Ireland alone, it is estimated that 120,000 Lithuanians immigrated in the ongoing wave of emigration after 1990.Until 1945, Lithuanian was also spoken in the northern part of East Prussia, the so-called Little Lithuania or Prussian Lithuania. This is where the written Lithuanian language developed in the 16th century.  Most people who move to Lithuania from Germany usually bring a large part of their possessions with them.

However, to ensure that not only the transport but also the entire relocation goes off without complications, you should take care of the formalities as well as possible beforehand. Alpha Service's relocation advisors will provide you with uncomplicated, personal and reliable advice.

Lithuania

Lithuania is the southernmost of the three Baltic states. It borders the Baltic Sea to the west and shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and the Russian oblast of Kaliningrad.
From about 1253 until 1795 Lithuania was a grand duchy, and from 1569 part of a union as Poland-Lithuania. With the 3rd partition of Poland, Lithuania was absorbed into Russia in 1795 until it became a sovereign republic in 1918 in the act of Lithuania's declaration of independence.
After the Soviet occupation (1940), interrupted by the German occupation (1941-1944), it regained independence in 1990.
In the course of EU enlargement in 2004, Lithuania became a member state of the European Union and a member of NATO. Since 1 January 2015, Lithuania has been the 19th member of the Eurozone.  Tourism is an important source of income.
With 17 million tourists per year, Portugal is one of the most visited countries in the world, the most common destinations being the Algarve and the region around the capital Lisbon. The north of Portugal has a relatively cool and humid climate. In the northwest lies the Minho, one of the most densely populated areas of the country, with the two largest cities being Braga and Viana do CasteloBecause of its climate and comparatively lush vegetation, this region is known as the green garden of Portugal.

The classification of the region as a whole, in turn, is disputed and is influenced not only by geographical factors but also by historical-cultural and political aspects.
Lithuania borders Latvia to the north and Belarus to the east and southeast. The border with Poland in the south is only about 100 kilometres long; it is considered the most important connection to Central and Western Europe. To the southwest, the Russian oblast of Kaliningrad is an exclave; the border is partly formed by the Memel River. To the west lies the Baltic Sea, to which Lithuania has access via the port of Klaipeda. The climate in Lithuania is a temperate continental climate. The prevailing westerly wind on the coast carries warm and humid air from the Baltic Sea inland. There are over 200 nature reserves of various designation and rank in Lithuania.
